Dear Mythology Students,
If you missed class, we completed the following:
1. We read and discussed the dialogue between Priam and Achilles found on page 434 of The Iliad.
Each class "performed" this section of the myth, and as soon as the images are sent to me, I will upload them on the blog.
2. We then watched the same interaction on the film TROY.
3. Students then began to present the information regarding their characters. We discussed the following: Priam, Paris, Menelaus, Achilles, and Helen! MAKE SURE YOU ARE READY FOR YOUR QUIZ ON THURSDAY covering these characters.
HOMEWORK:
1. Read #3 above
2. Read pages 192- to the top of 198 in your textbook (your quest questions will come from the reading up to this point).
Example of Quest Question:

Example of Quest Question:
LEDA and the SWAN by William Butler Yeats
A sudden blow: the great wings beating still Above the staggering girl, her thighs caressed By the dark webs, her nape caught in his bill, He holds her helpless breast upon his breast. How can those terrified vague fingers push The feathered glory from her loosening thighs? And how can body, laid in that white rush, But feel the strange heart beating where it lies? A shudder in the loins engenders there The broken wall, the burning roof and tower[20] And Agamemnon dead. Being so caught up, So mastered by the brute blood of the air, Did she put on his knowledge with his power Before the indifferent beak could let her drop?
